Main Activities

Based in Koyasan, we will be focusing the three fields of activities: (1) "Nurturing Minds" based on mindfulness and meditation, (2) "Exploring Japanese culture" such as flower arrangement and tea ceremony that cultivates mental concentration, and (3) "Learning & Practicing Buddhism" especially based on the tradition of Japan and Himalaya. We plan our own activities and operate a retreat house facility that allows medium- to long-term stays by providing facilities to other partners.

01

Nurturing Minds

Embracing the art of mindfulness and meditation backed by compelling scientific evidence, we embark on a journey to nurture a bountiful mind, attuned to our innate nature. Our sanctuary caters specifically to those seeking a serene haven, offering tranquil settings ideal for immersive medium- to long-term retreats.

02

Exploring Japanese Culture

Embarking on a transformative odyssey, we shall immerse ourselves in the splendor of Japan's illustrious "dou (way)" culture, embracing treasures like Ikebana, tea ceremony, Aikido, and more. Engaging in this quest, we shall not only enrich our cultural orientation but also nurture our mental focus and concentration. By fostering harmonious exchanges between guests from both Japan and overseas, we shall unravel the bedrock of humble self-confidence, beautifully woven within the fabric of culture.

03

Learning & Practicing Buddhism

With utmost dedication, we aspire to serve as a sacred platform for those embarking on a profound odyssey to unravel the timeless teachings of the Buddha dharma. Embracing a dynamic and courageous stance, we fearlessly confront the complexities of modernity and the weight of daily struggles, all while nurturing a heart of boundless compassion that reveres the very essence of every living being.

Retreat House & Place for Contemplation

The World Hertage Site, Koyasan stands resolute, its 1200-year-old heritage imbuing it with an aura of sanctity. Within our sanctuary, we pledge unwavering support to these cherished seekers, for we have curated a mini-library resplendent with Buddhist texts from Japan and across the globe. Moreover, it houses volumes on Japanese culture, fashioned upon the spiritual underpinnings of Buddhism, fostering a deeper appreciation of its wisdom.

Not content with mere provisions, we diligently orchestrate our own seminars and terakoya lectures, fortifying our resolve to nourish minds and spirits alike.

A 50-year-old empty house
refurbish and provide

Envisioning a sublime transformation, I yearn to breathe new life into a half-century-old dormant dwelling, nestled a mere ten-minute stroll away from the hallowed Danjo Garan on majestic Mt. Koya. This dormant abode shall be reborn as a sacred haven, a fertile ground nurturing the seeds of future spiritual culture.
New insulation materials shall embrace its walls, bestowing an embrace that keeps cold at bay, while airtightness is heightened to weave an intimate cocoon of warmth. As we strive to create a facility that transcends barriers, it shall open its arms wide, welcoming and embracing the aspirations of countless souls seeking solace and inspiration.

Facility renovation

The 50-year-old vacant house has robust structures, including beams; however, it has experienced subsidence of the ground and deterioration of the walls due to water leakage. Therefore, as a primary step, it is essential to have a specialist raise and stabilize the foundation, followed by necessary fixes. Additionally, due to inadequate insulation, the window sashes will be replaced, and renovation work will include heat insulation and other enhancements to ensure its functionality as a facility.

The specific breakdown is as follows.

  • House raising/plastering 820,000 yen

  • Kitchen/bedroom renovation 5.2 million yen

  • Window renovation 4.5 million yen

  • Air conditioning and heating equipment installation 1.4 million yen

  • Roof painting 1150,000 yen

  • Entrance/fitting repair 350,000 yen

  • Miscellaneous expenses 350,000 yen

 Total 14.67 million yen
